The other way of dealing with stress is through doing exercise. There is an increase in the stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline when someone is stressed. Exercise can therefore boost the production of these hormones. Iit is not, however, necessary that the exercise be vigorous. Brisk walking in fresh air can be very helpful. A more permanent situation is the incorporation of physical activities in your daily routine.
Exercise helps in stress management following certain mechanisms. Exercise has the effect of pumping endorphins into the body. The endorphins are known as brain’s feel-good transmitters. When someone exercises, they tend to forget about the irritations that they have had. Exercise is also effective in improving the mood of a person. This is done by increasing one’s self-confidence, it can help someone to relax and can also lower the symptoms of mild depression and anxiety.
